The VH Segura Law Firm is based in Texas and is exclusively an intellectual property (“IP”) law firm. Our firm offers a range of IP legal services for a wide variety of inventors, companies, entrepreneurs, and institutions spanning across the creative industries. Our mission is to keep clients ahead of the curve by providing quality, experience, value, responsiveness, and focusing on results that help our clients protect their IP and achieve their goals. Victor is the founder and principal attorney of the firm. Admitted to practice in Texas and before the United States Patent and Trademark Office, he brings over 20 years of experience in the area of intellectual property law.

Victor received his Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Houston, his Master of Laws in Intellectual Property degree, and his Juris Doctorate degree from the University of Houston Law Center in Houston, Texas.

Prior to starting the firm, Victor provided trusted IP counsel to large multinational corporations, serving as in-house Chief Patent Counsel for National Oilwell Varco in Houston, as in-house IP Counsel for Schlumberger in Sugar Land, Texas, and as an associate with the Arnold, White & Durkee law firm in Houston. Before practicing law, Victor served as a helicopter crew chief in the U.S. Marine Corps, attaining an Honorable Discharge following his tour of duty.

Victor has the knowledge and expertise to ensure professional, high quality, cost-effective service. His law practice is focused in the areas of preparation, filing, and prosecution of patent applications, licensing, due diligence and validity analysis, legal opinions, contract drafting and negotiation, and transactional work involving intellectual property.

Victor has been a presenter on IP issues with the Houston Intellectual Property Law Association and the State Bar of Texas education programs. He is a member of the Licensing Executives Society (LES). He has also taught ESL classes and gives IP Law presentations to business groups.
